My adventures in and around Shenzhen. Special mention given to The Terrace and our band Sugar Rush.
Shenzhen's hottest night spot

Our band Sugar Rush has been performing for the last several months in a brand new venue called The Terrace. The listening experience is second to none, and the vibe is even better. That's me on the keys and there's a party every night. We hope that if you're in the Shenzhen/Guangzhou/Hong Kong area that you make time to see this exciting venue. We're turning sleepy little Shekou into the place to be!

I have been to Guangzhou - what a dreadful place - there was not one living bird flying free - genuine! I am not lying, I looked for birds flying in the sky, zip, nada, nothing zilch! Apparently the chinese eat anything that moves - particularly in that province. Whilst I enjoyed my visit and eating experience - the seafoods - are to die for, I did not enjoy the lack of animal life to be seen unless it was in the night zoo.

Hope you guys have a good time there.

I agree with you about Guangzhou, although the place we're in is a far cry from the bleak scene over there. Yes there's smog, yes there's a lack of wildlife, but overall it's good suburban living and only a 40 minute ferry ride from Hong Kong. If you're going to live in China, you could do much, much worse than here.
